FIFTH ANNUAL HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT

Privileged Destruction: Examining Environmental Justice
San Francisco State University
May 1 – May 2, 2008

Please help us publicize Environmental Justice in 2008!

The SFSU Anthropology and Human Rights Students of 2008, and the Students for Critical Anthropology at SFSU, are organizing the FIFTH ANNUAL HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT at San Francisco State University, scheduled to take place on May 1st and May 2nd 2008 on the SFSU campus.

This year’s Summit is co-sponsored by the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences and the College of Humanities at SFSU, the Global Peace, Human Rights and Justice Studies Program at SFSU, and the SFSU Public Research Institute.
The FIFTH SUMMIT will feature student and faculty panels, workshops, photo and film exhibits and other activities aimed at educating the broader public about Human Rights violations across the planet, and how we can help promote Environmental Justice.

We are currently working to publicize this important event in our local community.  Your organization addresses environmental issues that will be discussed in this year’s summit.  By helping us to publicize this event on your webpage, calendar, newsletter, bulletin board, or shop, you will be promoting human rights, environmental justice, and education.  You will be listed as a supporter on our website and brochure, and would be welcome to table or speak at the summit.

For more information regarding the Summit, please contact Prof. Mariana Ferreira, at (415) 405-2467 or e-mail sfsuhumanrights@yahoo.com.

Thank you for your interest and collaboration.
